BIAB, batch sparge, fly sparge? I guarantee you will love conditioning if you fly sparge. If you BIAB or batch sparge, I think you can get away with a 2roller mill very tight, without conditioning, and still get great extraction and no sticking issues. If you fly sparge, look into conditioning with a 2roller mill. that is my opinion.

Love my Monster Mill 2 roller I got back around 2011. I went with the 2" hardened steel rollers and hopper extension at purchase. I highly recommend getting the extension unless you actually LIKE refilling the hopper for bigger grain bills. Last year I went from using a drill to run it to their motor setup.

FWIW Crankandstein has been offering geared homebrewing and commercial brewing mills for awhile and their 3roller designs are the same configuration with the top gap being the geared one. Probably because it's easier to reliably gear a fixed gap. I like the sealed gear design of the monster mill a bit better.
