Mounted it to an old 1 row cultivator frame, used and old pto shaft and made a short shaft to connect the gear box to the pto shaft. I have ran a hammer mill and an corn sheller for years with it. The mill was powered by my W4 McCormack IH tractors belt pulley. So my mill ran by a flat belt, not pto. And it took about all the power my W4 had. We used flat belts to run a hammer mill when I was kid. We used a single twist to change the direction, but no belt dressing. The pulley on the hammer mill had a slight crown in the middle. The tractor was about 20 feet from the hammer mill, making the belt about 40 foot long. It was easy to set up and stayed on real well.
